“I purchased the SOLIDFX FX10 about a year ago and have been using it on-board the PC12 we fly since then. It gives great reassurance to know that all the approach plates are there at your fingertips should they be needed and eliminates the need to carry vast volumes of plates if your area of operation is wide as ours is. It is easily read and can be zoomed to any area of the chart for finer detail. Very useful if the eyesight isn’t what it was. The unit is well made and simple to use. We did have one problem in that the battery exhausted very quickly even when the unit was turned off. I contacted the support team who were more than helpful and sent a replacement without a quibble. It’s nice in this day and age to deal with a company that cares about its customers. Needless to say the replacement unit has performed flawlessly since its arrival in the UK.
